Algarve Golf
The Algarve and Carvoeiro have become a popular destination for golfers. The peak times for golfers in the region are during the autumn and the spring months. In the summer months the courses are all very quiet, mainly because of the very hot temperatures. To have the best game during the summer months then you need to play either before 9.30am or after 4.30pm and there are special offers available at most courses for twilight sessions.
There are three 18-hole golf courses within short drive from Carvoeiro: the Gramacho Golf Course, the Vale da Pinta Golf Course and the newest Silves Golf Course, all three belonging to the Pestana Group. There is also the Vale de Milho friendly 9-hole course located on the east side of the town.
Vale Da Pinta
Set in a truly Algarve landscape with almond, olive and carob trees decorating the Vale da Pinta course rolls through small valleys and hills. Some of the olive trees are reputed to be in the region of 1,500 years old.
